Regarding fishing, no one said it better than John Buchan –

"The allure of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable,
a perpetual series of occasions for hope.”

The same can be said of design and advertising. Every creative brief contains that occasion for hope—that process of finding just the right images and words to communicate an irresistible and motivating message to the consumer. Watching the client's eyes respond to the lure; seeing their customers seize the hook; reeling in that growing sales curve; these are the perpetual hopes which keep me pursing design-related work in this amazing industry.

The sheer joy of "fishing" keeps me bringing my broad experience and education in engineering, architecture, interior design and graphic design to that process. My greatest strength is deep experience using the universal elements and principles of great design in diverse disciplines. This allows me to work on both the corporate and agency sides - in teams and solo - profitably completing projects as small as a logo design for a new vocalist to art directing and producing the entire print collateral and advertising kit for an historical, five-star golf resort. I’ve produced websites, web banners, web animations, logos, print pieces, annual reports, direct mail, POP displays, packaging, premium items, clothing, books, CDs, posters, trade show exhibits, environmental signage, trade show graphics and furniture, full-blown ad campaigns, brand rollouts, video production & editing…sorry, I ran out of breath. I've also been known to write compelling ad copy and a witty headline or two.

If you need a seasoned, business-minded, low-maintenance, highly-productive and professional designer, please take a look at this small cross section of my work. It would be my pleasure to discuss how I might best be of service to you or your organization. You can reach me at [6]78 361 066[2], or by email at dave[at]fingerlos[dot]com.
