FEES & PAYMENT
Tapestry Psychological Associates is a private organization and, as such, does not receive funding from any ministry or government entity. We are a fee-for-service company and unless arrangements have been made in advance, payment is due at the time services are rendered.
RATES FOR ASSESSMENT AND TESTING
Fees for assessments and testing range from $500 - $1,000 depending upon the testing which is done. Because assessments are typically structured around the unique needs of a particular situation, standard prices cannot be listed. A psychologist or examiner would be glad to speak with you in more detail about your needs and provide you with a more defined cost estimate.
Our psychologists and examiners regularly provide psychological evaluations for a variety of private (churches, rehabilitation centers, etc.) and government agencies (DFCS, Juvenile Court, etc.), as well as individuals. Our office is glad to work with your agency to establish defined test batteries, pricing and billing procedures according to your needs.
Forms of Payment
Unless you have made other arrangements in advance, your therapist will collect payment from you at the time of your appointment. Payment may be made by credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard & Discover), check or cash.
Third Party Billing
If an external agency (e.g. DFCS, Family Court or attorney), local church or individual is interested in making payment for your counseling or assessment, Tapestry would be glad to work with you and a third party in establishing convenient billing and payment procedures. However, these arrangements should be made in advance of your first appointment.
Our therapists predominantly work on a fee-for-service basis and you should come to your appointment prepared to pay for it. For a variety of reasons, most of our therapists have chosen not to enroll as providers on insurance panels and networks. Except in a few instances, this means that our office is NOT able to bill your insurance company for your counseling or testing. However, most of our therapists are licensed by the state of Georgia and, as such, are eligible as out-of-network providers for many insurance plans. If this is your situation, your therapist will be glad to provide you with the necessary information, receipts and paperwork which under most circumstances will allow you to be reimbursed for the cost of your counseling. In such an instance, you will still need to pay your therapist at the time of your appointment; upon collecting your payment, your therapist will provide you with the appropriate receipt. However, it is strongly recommended that you contact your insurance company prior to your first appointment to determine whether your particular policy a) includes out-of-network mental health benefits, b) covers the particular type of services you are receiving (individual therapy, marital therapy, family therapy or testing) and c) covers for the credentialing of the therapist you are wishing to see (see rate sheet for the credentialing of your therapist).
Because Tapestry Psychological Associates does not receive charitable donations or external funding, we are generally unable to offer reduced rates. Nevertheless, the therapists at Tapestry are compassionate persons respectful of the financial needs of those they serve who - for varying reasons - may not be able to afford the full cost of counseling. In some situations, your therapist may be willing to offer you a reduced rate. However, such offerings are limited and done on a case-by-case basis according to the discretion and circumstances of each individual therapist.

Hours of Operation
Our counseling offices are open for daytime, evening and - in some instances - weekend appointments. As each therapist keeps varying office hours you will need to speak to them directly in order to determine their availability.
Our front office is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 - 5:00. As our front office staff is only in the office during select hours, you may be required to leave a voice message. Voice mail messages left during the business day will typically be returned within a few hours. Messages left in the evening will not be received or returned until the following day; messages left after 1:00 on Friday will not be received or returned until Monday morning.
