Tapestry Psychological Associates Services

Individual Therapy

All of the therapists at Tapestry are trained to work with individuals. This includes helping women, men, children and adolescents struggling with a variety of personal issues. Individual therapy can be helpful in resolving difficulties such as depression, anxiety, sexual compulsivity, relationship problems and anger management. Individual therapy can be beneficial in helping children and adolescents overcome emotional and behavioral problems; it can also be a helpful resource for helping them to resolve various traumas or to learn how to better manage the challenges of ADHD.

Couples Therapy

Many of our therapists at Tapestry are specially trained to assist married, engaged and dating couples struggling with a variety of relational problems. Couples therapy can be beneficial in assisting married couples who are wrestling with deeply ingrained relational patterns which have developed across years of marriage. Couples therapy can also be helpful for those married or pre-married couples who feel stuck over some specific issue. Finally, couples therapy can be beneficial for healthy couples who are simply seeking to improve their communication and conflict resolution skills.

Family Therapy

Some of our therapists at Tapestry are uniquely trained to address the complex needs of the modern family in a therapeutic setting. Family therapy can be a powerful intervention of great benefit to parents of children and/or adolescents. Often, individual and family therapy are interwoven in order to best meet the needs of a particular family or situation.

Our psychologists and psychometrists are specially trained to utilize an array of psychological tests. They have experience serving a broad range of persons in a broad range of circumstances; evaluations can be customized to meet your personal needs or to fulfill the requirements of another agency (e.g. a local court, DFCS, adoption agencies, etc.). A broad array of testing resources and evaluation strategies for both children and adults are available. Testing may be utilized to broadly assess an individual's general psychological functioning or a particular area of concern; testing can also assist in determining whether a particular psychological disorder such as the following may be present.

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Depression or Bipolar Disorder
  • Generalized Anxiety, Panic Disorder or Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
  • Attachment Disorders
  • Personality Disorders
  • Giftedness or Deficits in Intellect
